Question Drumming beat in one ear..

I have this funny noise like a drum being beaten in my left ear - it comes and goes but when its there it is SO annoying, I hope its not something bad to do with Bubs

    Anyone has some thing similar??

    Cheers

I'd say it's your pulse, I had that too - because you have more blood pumping around your body, I guess that effects things?

Nelle - thats what I thought but it is like mega fast and I measured my pulse and its not that fast - I thought maybe bubs pulse but it comes and goes and it can be fast then slow and then like erratic..

I hope its not bubs pulse!!

Nah, it wouldn't be bub's pulse. Hmm. Maybe just mention it next time you see your doc or midwife and they'll be able to explain it.

Thanks Nelle. I have my OB appoint on Monday so I will do that.
Bubs is still kicking away madly so I was pretty sure all is ok with him/her!

Hi Kafer Girl, i've had what you're describing for years. Its like a random thumping in one ear and comes and goes. I've been told it it tinitus (not sure if i've spelt that right) and as far as a i know it has nothing to do with pregnancy. I think its caused by loud music damaging your ear drum. I blame mine on too many wild parties back in my uni days My DH gets the same thing every now and then- he used to be a bouncer in a pub so the loud music there probably caused his as well.
Maybe mention it to your doctor next appointment, they'll be able to tell you wether it is tinitus or not.
    Hope that helps
