early in pregnancy and have some bleeding when wipping

i have been trying to get pregnant for the past year and during that past year i have had 2 miscarriages and it now turns out that i am pregnant.
i am in very early pregnancy and would only be around the 3 weeks mark, give or take, i have been to my doc and he says i am pregnant and has done hcg levels to confirm.
i was due to get my period on the 28th this month and on saturday that just went i started to get some bleeding when i wipe. i am not in any pain or discomfort.
what im wondering is, is there people out there who have had some bleeding and things have turned out to be fine?
i am just so worried i may be at a big risk of another miscarriage which i honestly dont think i could handle again.
    thanks everyone

is it heavy ?? if not it could be implantation bleeding which is ok ,and quite common..

any heavy bleeding /pain you should see a doc...

Kristy Lee - I too have had a m/c and I have had 4-5 episodes of bleeding / spotting in this preg - it has varied b/w dark brown blood to red blood.
I cant say for certain that eveything is ok or not - but take it form me - you can have some bleeding and still go on to be ok. I know tho how scarey it is after a m/c.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

i had spotting with DS1 at 6 weeks and again at 8 weeks, and everything was OK.
It just depends, but I think 1 in 5 women experience bleeding in pregnancy.
There is an atricle about it on the main site here

With my recent successful pregnancy I had two episodes of brown spotting but all turned out OK. I panicked because I thought it was the beginning of the end again (had already had 3 losses) but it wasn't. Sending lots of sticky vibes in your direction.

thank you all for your help and positive thoughts.

the bleeding was only light and has stopped today which i am thankful for. my bleeding occured around the time where i should have had my period but i was really hoping it was implantation bleeding. but it has stopped so i am taking that as a positive.

i have been thinking with my other miscarriages i was really really sick and in constant pain and crying from the pain and im not feeling sick or any pain so im taking that as a good out come.

i hope all turns out to be ok. i would give anything in the world to be able to have my baby this time around

kristy lee - sending you big big hugs. Early pregnancy, especially after m/c can be a very anxious time. For me this is my third try for a bub after 2 x m/c during the last 18 months. I had like a brown discharge early on a few times with this one (from 4.5 - 6.5 weeks) but have had nothing since. Not sure what type of bleeding you had (red, brown etc) but the fact that it has stopped is a good sign. Your Ob should be able to do lots of BT's and some early u/s to help put your mind at ease.

Sending you lots of sticky vibes!!!

Hi, I too had bleeding this past weekend, for me it was bright red fresh blood. i am currently 12 weeks pregnant. I took myself to the hospital and the doctor i saw told me that it is not uncommon for women to experience thier first second and sometimes third periods when they are pregnant and still continue to have normal healthy pregnancies and babies. You say the bleeding has stopped thats a good sign, i would suggest you mention it to your doctor next time you are there so they can make a note of it, or if it starts again and as the doctor told me if its its more the a teaspoon full see a doc asap.
good luck, wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy with lots of sticky vibes.

i went back to my doctor last night and got my latest hcg levels and blood results.
he was very happy with them both and said all seems well at this point in time. he said in early pregnancy spotting is quiet common and some people get it up until around the 3 month mark and just said i should start to worry if i get really heavy bleeding or really bad pains in my tummy.
so i am 4 weeks now he said and i have to take it very easy, doctors orders and we are all hoping for the best.
thank you ll so much for all your help and support

    another quick update.
after a fair few visits to the doc's over the past few weeks and my recent ultrasound on 18th sept last week everything appears to be fine. my baby is growning at the normal rate and they were very happy with the heart rate. i am currently 7.5 weeks along. they said that they cant see any reason for any bleeding i have had, i only rarely have some bleeding now. they said that the sake is fully closed and they cant find any problems.
so i have my fingers crossed and am hoping for the best. i would be just a few days past 12 weeks when i get married so if all is still going strong we will announce our pregnancy at our wedding.
