Feeling of something in v. Help?

    Hi girls.
I may just be worrying for the sake of worrying, but I need to put my mind at ease and I was hoping one of you may be able to help me.
Sorry in advance for the TMI!!
For the past couple of days I've had a feeling like there is something in my vagina. Almost like when you have a tampon in incorrectly. It doesn't last for the whole day and usually goes away when I walk around. I've had no bleeding, discharge or cramps, but like I said- my pregnant brain likes to worry!!
    Thanks for your help!

Wow, weird! This may be a strange suggestion, but have you tried 'feeling' in there yourself, to see if there IS actually something there?? Otherwise I'd recommend seeing your doc - it may be embarrassing, but if there's something in there, you don't want it to cause an infection

    Good luck!

I'm too scared to check. Whimpy thing that I am! And seeing as it only comes and goes I wasn't sure if it was necessary. That being said, after googling it and seeing "incompetent cervix" come up a few times I may have to!

I've been feeling a bit like that lately and am due about a week after you. Feels bizarre. I don't remember it with Oskar but who knows. I was going to ask at my next midwife appt. if I remember. That's 3 weeks away though. So, if you do find out anything more before then you'll have to update. I will do my best to remember to ask if you haven't updated.

    Hi Ozzie!
I have my next appointment next Wed (same day as my anatomy scan) so I'll be sure to ask and let you know. I've relaxed a bit now and am not so worried, more curious.

I'm a bit ahead of you, but I get that same feeling as well - I've had it for just over 10 weeks now.

My ob told me it was bub getting into the engaged position, and that it disappears because he's still so small.

Could always be something else just as harmless, but I hope you find out on wednesday.

Hi guys. Had my appt the other day and asked the dr about this. She didn't seem concerned at all. Said it was most likely just the little one pressing down a bit and not to worry uless it becomes constant or there are any other symptoms (like waters breaking etc). I actually had the feeling at the appt and knew that bubs had her head right down in my pelvis as I'd just had my ultrasound and she wouldn't move her head outta there. So it all makes sense now.
    Big relief!!

Hey tutmae! You should have asked in our belly buddies thread! I've been feeling like that also and we are only a day apart. It definitely comes and goes. I've been told that pelvic floor exercises will help because the feeling is pressure on those muscles so I've upped the number of exercises just to strengthen them. Woot to our bub's being head down. Hopefully they stay that way ;-) See you in belly buddies

tutmae - I know your mind is already at easy but wanted to let you know that I have had that feeling too (especially around 20 weeks) and I was so worried about incompetent cervix but shouldn't have bothered worrying. I think it is the extra pressure if Bub is in a certain position plus when pg you have increased blood flow down there so I guess things are bound to feel different now and again.
