    Father confusion

Please no negative comments, I'm well aware of the situation I'm in. Due to a recent seperation I was seeing someone very briefly before patching up with my long time partner. However, I had intercourse with both men in a very close time frame and am now pregnant.

I slept with the previous partner two days after the end of my period and with my current one the first day of my ovulation. It would make me either 6 weeks or 4 weeks pregnant. My past three pregnancies I've always started feeling sick around the 6 week mark but as such have not had any sickness yet. I'm just curious as to what every one thinks. I honestly believe that my current partner is the father but what are the chances that he's not?

How long are your cycles? When do you ovulate during them? If this was based on my cycle, I would have DTD on day 9 and day 14 (two days after AF finished, and on O day) and thats what I did to fall pregnant with both my last pregnancies, not sure which day made them though!!! So - its definitely possible if you have cycles like mine.

My advice is to get yourself to the dr, explain your circumstances and ask for a quantitative blood test. At this early stage, they may be able to get a clearer idea of timing based on the level of HcG in your blood. Some early ultrasounds may help as well. But you need to do this as soon as possible because the levels go up so steeply that they stop being informative after a certain point. You may or may not get a clearer idea after this but IMO it's worth a try. This info might put you in a better position to discuss this with either man if you then decide it's what you want to do.

Big hug - there must be a lot of uncertainty and worry for you right now. Try to be gentle with yourself .

It's not very likely you would be pregnant at the time you were two days from your period. Stranger things have happened but it's very unlikely. Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.

Thankyou for all the quick replies. To answer, my cycle has been 36 days for the last couple of years, pretty much to the day. I guess I will just have to wait and see and probably due a paternity test. Thankyou guys.

what a crappy and stressful situation. I would think conception would most likely have occured at O rather than just after af.

Hmmm...not sure hun. A difficult situation for you to be in. I think you need to be honest with each of them though and let them also know the situation.
I hope it all works out for you. x
