    Foul taste in mouth...

Just thought I'd see if anyone else had this... since falling pregnant I've had a near-constant yucky taste in my mouth, seems to be made worse by sugar... I'd heard about a metallic taste but this isn't metallic in any way... Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Oh and if you do - I've noticed eating tomato seems to counter it for a while... in case that helps you too. Anything else that works?

I know what you are talking about. When I was pregnant with DD I always had mints/tic tacs on hand as I always had a yucky taste and was always paranoid that I had smelly breath. I don' t really know what stops it though. I found it to be worst after a cup of tea.
I had it early in this pregnancy to but it seems to have gone for now, I am sure it will return though.
I know it is horrible but I assure you once bub is here it will go .

Yeah I find tea/fruit juice/soft drink are the worst... Glad to hear it'll disappear though!

You might be deficient in zinc. That can cause taste changes. I think there is a test you can do at some chemists or naturopaths. Good luck!

I remember that taste! Yuk! I would have to brush my teeth after eating, as it would drive me nuts. And if I couldn't brush, then was always chasing some mint chewy!

I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and I have this foul taste in my mouth constantly also.

I cant find anything that will get rid of it. Water isnt doing it for me at the moment so I keep having juice or diet soft drink to try and get rid of the taste....

It's terrible, and like Daintree am so paranoid about having bad breath....

I remember this a touch when I was pregnant with DS but I am sure it was gone by this time....

Glad (well not really! ) that I'm not the only one out there suffering from this!!!
