    a gift for dh?

did/will anyone get their dh a gift for the birth of their baby?
When ppl come to the hospy they generally spoil mum and bub, and dh get mum flowers and so on... but its a big thing and a life changing event for dh also... i was thinking of getting dh something nice but have no idea what?

i pondered this for weeks - came up with some ideas, tried to organise it - nothing came together. when it came down to it, DH was just happy to be able to meet our baby. we didn't want gifts - we wanted HER.

if you want to get something, do you know the gender of your baby? do you have a name? can you get a little keyring or something with "for Daddy, from xxx" or something?

I bought husband a very trendy 'nappy' bag for fathers day last year. It is quite blokey (brand is Crumpler) and not specifically a nappy bag, but has all the pockets and other things that nappy bags have.

He loves it. It's different to mine so when he goes out he has all of his bits and pieces that he needs.

What a great idea!! I hadn't thought of this but will definately be organising something for DP, he's been such a champ throughout the whole pregnancy.

Maybe a special toy that is for DH and bubs.

You can get a lot of "my daddy is special" from the gift places. Maybe something like that for bubs first photo with daddy.
