Tinned tuna's fine hun Most fresh/frozen fish is, too, just as long as it's properly cooked through to get rid of any nasty bugs.
As to servings... well, I was a total tuna addict when pg with DD1, ate probably two tins a day! The theory behind limiting serves of fish is the risk of mercury poisoning as some big fish accumulate a fair bit of mercury through their diet (ie eating lots of smaller fishies that have also eaten mercury, which pollutes water systems in some areas). If you're a big fish fan, try sticking to smaller fish or freshwater fish rather than big saltwater fish (like tuna), and definitely try to buy Aussie where possible (I know it's cheaper to buy imported stuff from Woolies etc, but they're usually grown in water with lots of antibiotics and other nasties so are best avoided).
HTH Enjoy MIL's tuna casserole!
