My cousin is due to give birth to her second child tomorrow by c-section as she had problems resulting in an emergency c-section for her first child.
For the past three weeks she has been in constant pain due to the baby being breech. When she mentioned this to her OB he said that they wern't worried about the baby being breech and that they wouldn't attempt to turn it because she was having a ceaserean anyway..Has anyone encounted this before?
My last child was in a breech presenatation the last three months and they didn't see a need to turn him either as I had to have a c-section anyway. I was terribly uncomfortable but I woudn't say it was really painful. Everyones diferent though.
Maybe thge baby is very long or a fatty bubs!
At least it will all be over tomorow for her I guess.
I woudn't see the need to turn the baby either if they are going to do a c-section anyways, I mean the baby can go under stress from being turned so I guess they are just thinking best to leave it alone if there really isnta need to annoy the baby. kwim?
Turning the baby whilst still in the womb does have some risks, and although the risks are small there is no point in trying to turn the baby if mum is going to have a C/S.
Our bubba was breech and it made it really uncomfortable and I'm only 30wks, I'm pleased she has finally turned now :-) Hope your cousin has a safe and happy birth tomorrow
