Hey hun, congrats on your pg! Perhaps it was too early to see the HB? Hope your scan goes well tomorrow

I don't think any scan can see a baby's heartbeat prior to 6 or 7 weeks, so there's no way you would have been able to get one at 5 weeks.

    Yep. That.
It's basically impossible. Most Drs won't even refer you for a scan until your 7 weeks for this very reason. Just stresses mum out prematurely

And alot can grow in a week!

I had a dating scan at what I now know was 4 weeks 2 days (cycle was a bit longer that month, so wasn't sure) and there was NOTHING there... nothing at all. Not even a sack to reassure us. When we went back at 6 weeks 6 days we were able to see the heartbeat - but it was one hell of a wait to get through those 2 weeks

Congrats on your pregnancy and good luck!!!

try not to worry and stress hun - i know its so easy to say but so very hard to do.. The light bleeding could be anything like implantation bleeding etc (which i had early on aswell) and i would say it was just too early to pick up the heartbeat.

Best thing at the moment for you and bubby is to try stay as calm as you can..this is my first and omg i freak over absolutly everything i heard it doesnt get better even with the second third fourth and so on.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck..please keep us posted on how you went.

    xx

    Awesome news

Yes, i was going to say 4wks 6 days is too early to see anything more than a sac, and u would be surprised how much difference having a scan even just days later into the 5th week makes.
