Can someone give me the stats once a heartbeat is seen on an early scan?

I know I've seen the stats around here somewhere...
Just wanting to show a friend who has had a few m/c's that theres a good chance this one will stick.

My Fertility Dr told me that once a heartbeat is seen, it's a 4% chance of miscarriage.

Maybe someone else has something different.

Mine said 80% chance all will go great!

At my 8 week dating scan, when the technician found the hb I was told the same as didispunk, 80% chance of all being good. (Got my 27mo DD to prove that )

I was told 5% chance of miscarriage after heartbeat confirmed. Pretty good odds, but having been pg after a miscarriage no statistics in the world were enough to relieve the intense anxiety of the first trimester.

I really hope your friend's baby is fine, I'm sure s/he will be!

I hope things are smooth sailing for your friend too Niadalla, those statistics did make me feel a heap better but I did not have the previous heartbreak of a miscarriage to colour my experience.

after doing some reading it says 4-10% chance of having m/c after seeing heartbeat. i guess i was one of the unlucky ones i agree with the other comments about anxiety in the first trimester.
all seems to be going well this time though, and i have seen bub twice so far. hope your friend has a h&h pregnancy.
