    How early have you 'popped'...

Sooo, I have a belly A small one, and to people who don't know I'm pregnant, I probably just look a bit chubby in the middle, but a belly none the less. Do you show earlier the more pregnancies you've had? This is my 5th pregnancy in 20 months (all 8 weeks or under...but even with the first which was 8 weeks, I had a belly). I have very little muscle definition in my tummy, and usually a little pot belly of fat. Like THIS. Then, at 4w3d, THIS. With clothes over the top, it looks like I'm just a bit fat...I don't know...I know that with early preg comes bloating, and I'm sure that's what some of it is...any help?

With my son I didn't pop till 17 weeks, my stomach was totally flat though and had ab definition, a little

With my last pregnancy I definitely had a tummy at 7 weeks and took pictures, I'll upload them to fb to show you for comparison

I think with each pregnancy you show quicker but I think that's because the stomach muscles get weaker and don't hold the uterus back or something

BTW popped the package in the mail

I popped out quite late with this one - kind of looked a bit tubby and bloated for the first 6 weeks or so, then that bloating went away, and it's only in the last 2 weeks or so (since about 15 weeks) that I 'look pregnant'. I think I might have popped a bit earlier with T (#2) but the first two were closer together, and as I wrote in another thread, I'm gaining much less weight this time round, so that might have something to do with it too.

My work mates all knew I was pregnant before I reached 9 weeks because I looked big and couldn't fit into my clothes. I bought some flowing blouses to hide it before I reached 8 weeks. I looked "chubby" rather than pregnant, so if you didn't know me you wouldn't have guessed that the extra weight was baby. In fact, I basically just looked chubby until 25 weeks when the bump really started to look more like "baby" than "fatty."

Thanks ladies. I definately think I'm wayyyy bloated atm, it's insane! Hope it goes down soon, and a baby belly can take place instead. I'm a size 12 on the bottom and 14 on the top (because of monster breasts ) so not tooooo big. I think if I remember properly the bloatiness went away at around 7 weeks Yes, to the outside world I just look chubby LOL!

3.5 months in I started to look a bit podgy, like I could grab the flab and jiggle it lol. I didn't look properly pregnant until 27 weeks. It was kinda annoying and I always felt self conscious that people would just think I was fat. At least when it's a pregnant belly you can show it off and everyone knows there's a baby in there!

With my first pregnancy I popped at 6 weeks.

The others I've just been fat so its hard to tell between fat and baby belly. I'm nearly 18 weeks now and I just look fat, not pregnant.. LOL

I popped alot earlier with progressive pg's but this is (technically my 5th) my 3rd full term pg. I popped at about 7ish wks with this one, about 10 wks with #2 and about 16wks with #1, I was visibly pg. With my very first pg, I remember being 16wks and only just having to buy some new pants! (TMI coming...)I get constipated during pg and when I need to go , my tummy is a fair bit bigger and firmer especially early on. I would say for you, it sounds like it's bloating. I have pics on FB if you'd like to look...not sure how to link them tho. (Or you can friend me, lol!)

At the time, *I* thought I had 'popped' at 7 weeks. And everyone humoured me. It wasn't until about 22 weeks that I actually really truly popped. I still thought I had really popped at 7 weeks until I had Jazz and looked back at all the photos and realised I didn't look pregnant until about 22 weeks! I just looked 'thick'. Maybe pregnant, if the photo was taken on just the right angle

Cute little belly by the way

It's funny how when you're pregnant it's open slather and everyone can suddenly comment on your weight. I got the whole 'oh you're very small, are you sure the baby is ok?' So rude

On another note, everytime I see the title for this thread my brain keeps thinking it says 'How early have you pOOped?'

I popped around 16 weeks, but might have earlier if I hadn't lost so much weight courtesy of insane morning sickness ...

I lost almost 10kgs in the first 14 weeks, but managed to get to 16 weeks without any of my colleagues noticing that I was pregnant - and then worked overseas for 6 weeks, and gave all my friends and family a HUGE surprise when I came back 22 weeks UTD

So yeah, I lost weight (from m/s) and switched to tunic style tops etc, and didn't have an obvious bump until 16 weeks.

Your bump looks gorgeous though, and very bump (ie: not a weight thing, a baby thing!)

Yeh with each pregnancy you pop earlier. This is my 3rd baby but 4th pregnancy, had a m/c last year at 7 wks. With this bub, i definitely popped at 7 weeks! It was probably only noticeable to people who knew, but it was there, nonetheless. I heard it's something about your uterus muscles getting weaker or something, and so they stretch easier and earlier....something like that
