How often does your DH or DP touch your bump?

I was laying in bed this morning thinking that I really wished that DH would touch my bump more often. When we had our 4D scan back at 28 weeks there was another couple in the waiting room and her DH was all over her bump. He couldn't keep his hands off it. It made me realise that my DH doesn't touch my bump that much.
He makes sure he says good night and good morning to it, and a couple of time he might put his hand on it and talk to the bump but he doesn't just lay or sit there with his hand on it for very long.
I know he is looking forward to meeting our little man. I just love it when he touches the bump its a comforting feeling. How can I encourage him to touch it more, after all its only going to be there for a few more weeks and thats it?

when DH is home, he is always rubbing my tum - not so much when we're out and about, but if we're home or at rello's places, he's always gently rubbing or tickling the bump. when we're in bed, if i'm suggling behind him, he reaches back a hand and rubs the side of my tum then snuggles back so his back is against it - if we're the other way around, he rubs my tum til we fall asleep.

it's not something everyone does - DH is a very tactile person - he strokes my hair or holds my hand all the time - my dad finds it appalling cos he's not a touchy person... everyone is different...

When I was pregnant DH constantly would touch my bump. Not out in public he wouldn't but especially in bed he would always fall asleep with his hand on my bump.

DP used to always touch my bump when preggers. He talked to it a few times too. lol. The only time he didn't like touching it was iin bed when I used to press it against him and they used to kick him. haha.

My DH was exactly like yours. I got the odd rub and that was about it. Sometimes I would just grab his hand and make him feel bub. Once DS was here though he was all over him. I think for some blokes since they don't experience the pregnancy first hand it isn't all that real for them until their child is in their arms, then they freak out .

Have you tried telling him when bump is moving and getting him to feel him moving around? The Bear loved touching my bump, talking to it etc. Even used to say "put the bump on the phone" when he called me at work!

I don't remember DP touching my bump at all which is perhaps why DD got cross with him and used to kick him in the back when we were in bed spooning - probably want to jolt him into giving her attention! But he is a very good dad.

    oh i feel your pain!

DP is not into touching or stroking bump or really talking to it at all. I have to grab his hand when we're in bed when the baby is kicking so he can feel it. He's just not that into it. I think it's really hard for men cos they don't get to 'feel' preg that maybe it's not really real til the baby is here.

I know DP is super excited to meet the baby but i think to him it's just a tummy that's getting bigger.
