OK so I am not pregnant (yet... hehe!) but I just went and bought a Bra to fit my current size (12FF) which cost me $118!! YIKES! So I have big boobs and something just occured to me...When I fall pregnany will they be MASSIVE? I have heard others say that they will just fill out instead of actually getting bigger. I have heard others say that its all about the levels of hormones you have in your body! I am totally confused and I don't want to ruin my back carrying these things so I was considering getting a Breast Reduction once I loose around 15kgs but I want to make sure that I can breast feed my baby. Has anyone had this issue?
Also, I am comming off the Pill at the end of January does coming off the pill effect their size?
Sorry for the seemingly stupid questions but I am acutally quite scared about how my body will change
Mine didn't get much bigger, maybe went from a c to a d. It is different for everyone.
Losing weight sounds like the best idea, not likely to cause any problems if you do it sensibly. I know of a woman who's boobs shrunk quite a bit when she started exercising. Apparently that was just where her body liked to store extra fat.
My boobs got a little bit smaller when I went off the pill, but not even enough to drop a cup size.
As for during pregnancy... with DS1 my boobs went from a DD to an E by 6 weeks and were an F by 20 weeks. They got up to a G when my milk came in, but settled back to an F after a few weeks, an E after a few months and back to a DD when I stopped BFing.
The second time round they didn't get quite so big and have settled faster.
You are likely to go up a size or 2 at some point. If you don't want to be bigger than a FF then losing some weight is probably a good idea, though it may not come off your chest. A breast reduction is major surgery though, so I would be trying every other option first.
On the plus side they make far more maternity bras in large sizes now. I had trouble finding them for my first pregnancy, but have come across plenty this time.
Thanks for all the advice I think that if I can drop down to my normal weight I will be more happier and if they go down to something like a D I would be happy with that!
Damn that means I will have to pull out the Exercise bike from the spare room and actually get on it
