    Question I just fell over

I just got off the phone to DP who made me quite upset and i went to walk to my bedroom forgetting i had just mopped the floor i slipped, i landed hard on my bum.

Now my belly is a bit sore, bubs is moving around but can this cause any damage to bub?

    Ouch!

Worth ringing the Hospital or GP clinic and explain what happend and how you are feeling. They may ask you to come in as a precaution and do a quick monitor.

Bub is protected pretty well inside of you, so I wouldn't be too worried. You say bub is moving, which is good, just keep an eye on movements and your underwear, and call your midwife/ob/hospital if something seems amiss. In the cases I've seen on BB where pregnant people have fallen, the babies have been fine.

    Ouch though!

maybe pop into the dr if you are worried. just for peace of mind.
just keep a feel on how much bub is moving..

    Oh hun,

I hope you are ok. I have heard bubs is very well insulated in there and ladies have fallen on their tummies and bubs has been fine. but i would ring the hossy or your dr to just let them know what happened and what they think. Most likely they will just ask you to monitor all movement over the next day or so.

Sounds like your having a bad week ...
When I was 5 months pregnant with our son, our dog tripped me over and I literally fell flat on my bump.... he was fine although I wouldnt recommend it .... lucky you fell on your butt, just watch the movements and relax.

    Pregnant people shouldnt be upset

Thanks ladies, i spoke to a lovely lady from the hospital she told me to just monitor her movements if she becomes less active or i start to cramp or bleed to come in and get checked out.

I fell down stairs and broke my foot at 28 weeks with DS and he was fine. The hospital said he was well protected and would suffer no ill effects.

Yeah I'd say just keep an eye on things, make sure nothing seems amiss.

I had a bad fall when I was about 38 weeks with DS, I was crawling along the floor to DH (being stupid of course) and I tripped and smashed my diaphragm against his knee (which was propped up)

God it hurt - tears to the eyes immediately!!

And although I may think something is wrong with DS cos he's pretty weird () - I've been told by enough people that nothing is wrong with him due to that fall - its just my influence.

    I hope you are ok,

Bubs is likley just fine, as I believe it is more repeated or very severe knocks that damage bubs, as when they do get hurt, the blood will rush to the most important areas to protect, and if that happens often it can delay or inpeed on the development of other arears iykwim,

i fell flat on my backside about 3 weeks before my due date and the worst thing hurt was my pride.

I was still at work, and was so heavy, i went to slide my chair but it didn't move, I did, and plop flat on my very well padded rear.

I then proceeded to rofl while everyone looked down on me saying are you ok? no seriously are you ok??

I fell 1m straight onto my tummy when I was pg with mini me....we were renovating and my brother moved the step...and I didnt see and went whooshhhhhh.

I rang the hospital and was told that I didnt have movement within 2 hours to come in...lets just say that little miss bossy boots let me know she wasnt happy about me falling and I had nothing to worry about.

I did have a nice bruise for a while there from memory though

movement is great isn't it? And in a couple of days you'll be wishing your lung / kidneys / bladder aren't being used as a trampoline

    I love the movement

She is so cheeky already, i usually get up no later than 8:30 am and the other morning i got woken up by her kicking and kicking. So i checked the time and it was 9:30 she knows what time im supposed to be.

She makes me smile so much already, she makes me love her so much already. When women said being pregnant is amazing i didnt understand but it truly is, i don't know if i would be able to do it again though LOL but its amazing.
