Unhappy I think i am going to cry

I had some pretty bad cramping this morning, they have been on and off over the last couple of days but todays were quite bad.

I was just in bed and i needed to pee so i got up and went to the toilet when i wiped there was blood, the more i wiped the more blood there seemed to be its only a very small amount but its red... I have not had any spotting or any bleeding since finding out i was pregnant.

Could this be normal, anyone else experience bleeding like this and went on to have a happy healthy baby.

Haven't had this experience myself but as far as I know it is not too uncommon to have some bleeding during pregnancy and still carry to full term.

Really just wanted to send you a big hug. Hope you get to the doc in the morning and get some reassurance and good news. Hang in there.

I had a bleed at about 20 weeks and spent the day in hospital. Doctors weren't able to tell me why - apparently it was quite normal. I carried Mitchell until 40 weeks plus 5 days. But go to see your doctor tomorrow just in case. Big hugs.

Just wanted to send you hugs too, i hope everything is ok for you. I had bad cramps to in the first few weeks but was told they were normal and didnt feel like period pain cramps. And i had a bit of blood too, at about 8 weeks, and i totally freaked out but everything was fine. I made an appointment at the docs the next day to have a scan etc so maybe do that to find out whats goin on. Big hugs to you!!!

I had bleeds noth pregnancies. My second pregnancy I had so much blood gushing down my legs I thought I was going to need a transfusion! Sure enough, my little DD was perfectly happy in there and she's now a bubbly nearly 8 months old.

Bleeding is very common, but if you are worried, please speak to someone about it.

I have had cramping/bleeding with both of my girls around the same time (9wks) they are both here and born at term... I have heard it is quite normal, but still normal to be checked out as well

Try to relax and take it easy, sweetie. I know how nerve-wracking it is to bleed during pregnancy... I didn't realise I was pg with DD1 until I was nearly 10 weeks because I kept having what I thought was my period, I continued having little bleeds on and off until about 26 weeks and she was born perfectly healthy at term. DD2, I knew I was pg before my period was even due, so when I got the spotting I freaked out a bit but told myself it was just the same as with DD1, and I was right - I only had two 'periods' and then didn't bleed again until after she was born, but I know how you must be feeling right now, especially it being your first bub.
Go and see your doctor as soon as you can tomorrow, try and take it easy tonight and see how you go - please keep up posted, I'll be thinking of you and the little bundle you got in there

I hope everything is okay and the bleeding subsides. I had slight bleeding at about 9 weeks, and not long after, the morning sickness subsided a bit - I read (or heard, can't remember which) that as the placenta takes over the hormone making that the body can get a bit confused sometimes and bleed a bit? That could totally not be true though. Wishing you the best possible outcome. xo

Thanks ladies, i am starting to calm down and have stopped crying. I am trying to stay calm as im pretty sure stressing myself out wont help me any. I have heard that bleeding in the first trimester can be normal but seeing blood just freaks me out. I will go first thing in the morning, i doubt i will get any sleep tonight. I'll chuck a pad on to see if its bad or not. Again thanks heaps ladies. im just being a worry wart and its completely normal.

I had this happen to me at 9 weeks PG with my daughter. Lots of red blood (no cramping though sorry) I was in hospital at the time (due to HG) so I told one of the midwives. She didnt seem fussed & told me to put a pad in my knickers & see how I go through the night. In the morning I checked & there didnt seem to be as much as I thought there would be, the midwife told me I could have an ultrasound to ease my mind if I liked but she was pretty positive all was ok.
Of course I took her up on the u/s & she took me straight around to get it done. There was DD with a nice strong heart beat & she is now an incredibly happy & healthy 4.5 yr old!

I have heard alot of stories of woman losing blood & all being ok.

I dont want to concern you anymore than you already are but I would get checked tomorrow because you're having the cramping.

Hoping & praying your bub is fine
