If you are really concerned give your Dr or midwife a call. They should be able to give you an answer.
Sounds like the loo will be your companion today so keep a book there.
I went through this in my first trimester mainly. I did end up with GD, but don't think they are related. I think it may possibly be to do with your body making all that extra blood (I think it is 50% more than normal) and it needs water to do it. I don't know if that is really the reason, but that is my theory anyway.
Mine passed around 15 - 16 weeks I think. How far along are you?
It's very normal to be thirsty during pregnancy and it's great that you are drinking a lot of water. It's fabulous for both you and bubs.
I've drunk a lot more water than usual the whole way through my pregnancy. I drink most of my water intake later in the day and evening and I easily go through half a litre overnight as well.
