M/C should I opt for D&C? Any advice please...

I am currently having a m/c and have been bleeding for 14 days.

I had an ultra sound last Monday which showed a 5wk sac which was low and Im guessing that meant it was on it's way out. My blood hcg was 345 and three days later (yesterday) down to 135ish.

My doc has requested an u/s which I am having tomorrow and has said he will decide if Im to have a D&C from that.

Should I have one or just let it happen naturally? Just not sure I can take much more bleeding!! I was hoping that if I have a D&C the bleeding would finally stop and I can go back to normal cycle and hopefully start ttc again.

Any advice at this point would be much appreciated as Im totally in the dark w this.

    Thanking you in advance )

Sorry to hear about your loss . I'm not sure either, but tempted to just go with the doctors advice unless you have strong feelings either way. Some women feel like they can start to move one when they know its over, KWIM? So sorry you have to go through this, hope you find a world of support in here.

Hi hunni, I am so sorry for your loss and for it to be taking so long for the m/c to end. A D & C will clean you out properly. Sometimes it is just better to have a D & C done so you can move on if it is taking longer than what it should. If the DR decides that it is the way to go, then I would probably listen to him, but it is your decision in the long run and yours alone. Just something to think about tho, I had a m/c, although a bit further on than yourself (16wks) I had started to spot by night time I had haemorraged and needed a blood transfusion before a D & C could be done. This also happened to my SIL at 12wks. She started spotting and ended up haemorraging after she was admitted to hospital, so for her luckily she was in a ward when that happened. I am not saying that this will happen to you, but just saying how quickly it can change to being something more serious.
When I had my second m/c at 12wks with twins, I didnt wait, not long after they had told me that I was indeed m/cing for it to happen again and did the D & C straight away.
Thankfully with my last two m/c's at 5wks it all came out without needing a D & C.

Hugs to you. And Good Luck for whatever you decide to do.

    Aw, I'm really sorry xoxoxo

It's totally up to you, but I opted for D&C because I just wanted it over with, the whole thing was torture for me.

    XOXOXO
