Why would the nurse call me?

I am currently just over 13 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby (6th pregnancy). I have had 3 normal vaginal deliveries although I was induced for all.

I had the Downs Sydrome blood test at 10 weeks with this pregnancy and the follow up ultrasound Tuesday just gone. The soographer said everything looked great, all measurments were fine and there was no thickening of the neck.
I got a missed call from the Nurse at my GP's office today for me to call her back. The only reason she would be calling is for test results and they usually only call if something needs to be followed up. I am all nervous and paranoid that something is wrong....

Oh Ubba! I can understand why you're worried! Is there anyone else you can speak to about it? Surely they won't just leave you worrying all weekend!?
I hope you can speak to someone sooner xxxx

Hmm I might just call the surgery in the morning and one of the Dr's can tell me. I just can't be bothered worrying! I don't have time lol

    Yes that's a good idea.
I'm sure everything is fine and dandy with bub and it's just something as simple as you needing a big ole piece of rump! (steak that is!!)

Hugs Ubba, hopefully it is low iron or something similar. It's promising at least that the sonographer said everything looks good!

Please keep us updated, thinking of you xx

Mainly just want to give you a hug... But when I went for my NT scan it was with my OB who is also fertility specialist. He said my scan looked good and because I was under 30 at the time he told me not to bother with the BT's at all as he wasn't concerned as measurement was great and he could also see nasal bone at that stage too. And Ob was right... DS was born fine.... Perfect axtually ;-). I had my appointments rescheduled quite often actually so that was the first thing that came to my mind when I first read ur post. Big hugs, its hard not to worry huh! Am sure bub is just fine and absolutely perfect.

    Oh mate Please don't stress!!
These bloody doctors and midwives are so insensitive sometimes, and have no idea the amount of stress they cause pregnant women!
I had something similar when I was preggers with DD, they left a message asking if I had private health, and to contact them ASAP. Turns out it was all because I had low iron! What a joke!
You had the u/s. Honestly, if the sonographer saw something to worry about, they definitely would not have told you everything is looking fine!
Your baby is baking away beautifully
But I agree with Stoked, maybe you need to get a big ol' rump into ya (of both types perhaps??? LOL!)
    Lub you!! xoxoxoxox

The nurses called me a fortnight after my NT scan to tell me the risk was low. If I didn't answer perhaps they would have left a message asking me to call back. I think your results will be perfect as if they were a higher risk the nurse wouldn't be calling you it would be the Ob/Dr himself. I reckon the other girls are right and it will be something completely unrelated to your scan such as iron levels or booking in details.

Hopefully the DR can tell you today Ubba, I know you will be stressing anyway so I wont tell you not to lol. I hate the constant worrying when Im pregnant and this time am trying to take a more relaxed approach..Will let you know how it goes when I get a dodgy phone call though

Ok i can stop stressing now :-)
My Dr called me and said my blood tests came back showing i have very low vitamin d and i need to take a supplement. Thats it! Worry over
Oh, and she said my risk of rhe baby having DS was so low it surprised her, although she couldnt give me the numbers because they hadnt been scanned into the computer yet.

Thanks everyone for your reasurance xxx
