    Maternity Tops

Does anyone know where i can get some nice maternity tops? All i seem to find is either tshirt or tank type ones that are snug fitting around the belly. I prefer ones that are flowy and loose and look trendy not plain. But i think i might be asking for too much. Even online there is not much choice. I did find a great site in the US but i'd rather something from Aus.

    Hi Antheia,
Target have some great smocky type tops out for summer at the moment - they're not maternity wear but you could definately get away with them. I've also found that RIPE have some really nice maternity stuff as well - not as cheap as the chain stores but worth it as they grow with you.
Hope you find some nice things.

I bought almost all my maternity tops from regular stores as there was (and still is I think) a lot of stock like smock tops, empire line etc, in stretchy fabric. The plus is I can still wear them!!

I got some nice ones at Big W yesterday, they were selling them out for $6. I think they have a general sale too on their current season maternity clothes.

I was going to suggest RIPE Maternity too...but make sure you have a huge CC....they are not cheap...hence why i dont stock their range!

Cosmic Clothing is another nice brand for tops

ive always liked pumpkin patch maternity...try them online too, they have great outlet store.

I also found spending a bit more on mat tops paid off so to speak. I bought 3 or 4 tops, spent a bit more, wore them to death, yet i could still pass them onto someone else, or save them should we have another....

I have looked at our local big-w and kmart and their maternity range is shocking. Only 1 or 2 top styles that are not me.

I found a really nice one online though that was really cheap. It was from US but i got 4 great tops for only $100 including express postage!

    Hear hear!

My sister bought some good quality stuff from Ripe and Pumpkin Patch and some stuff from Kmart/Target. The Ripe/PP stuff she has now handed on to me but the other stuff has fallen apart a bit!

Also - she has handed on her maternity jeans - I scoffed at her at the time, she paid over $100 for them, but they have lasted and now they look great on me!!!!

Gotta love having a sister who was pg just before you who's roughly the same size

With the trends at the moment I just tended to buy 'normal' (not maternity) but flowy empire style etc tops from Target and the usual stores. Much cheaper.

HOWEVER, there's a great store in Mt Evelyn called Beautiful Bellies that I did buy quite a few things from, and they were so much more cheaper than all the other maternity stores I looked at and the things were just as nice if not nicer in some instances! They have a great selection of both casual and dressy and the ladies there are very helpful and sweet.

Beautiful Bellies have a website with their stock on, but there's more in the store and it's constantly changing which is nice. Highly recommended! Beautiful Bellies. Maternity Wear

Just buy flowing non maternity tops. There's heaps of them around. I used to wear a lot of flowing tops before getting pregnant and managed to wear some of them through most of the pregnancy. Once I got towards the end I mostly wore the stretchy tshirt kind as they were the most comfy plus I wanted to show my bump off, whereas I looked a bit like a whale in the flowy kind due to having large boobs.

Beautiful Bellies is my FAVOURITE store now.

Their prices are fantastic. I bought a pair of really nice black work pants last week for $29.00, two tops for $19.50 each and a pair of jeans for $55.00.

Also once you make a purchase you get a VIP card which entitles you to 10% off each purchase you make.

Do you have the shop TEMT in NSW?? I was there the other day and they have the most gorgeous tops that are reasonably priced and lots can be worn during pregnancy. I bought one for a hens night I am going to this weekend and it only cost me $15! Good luck!

I found the maternity rather boring and hideous from Big W. They have a bad maternity range... if you could call it a range...

my Trouble now is after bubs and BF... I find there arent many tops designed for BF discreetly that dont have room for a HUGE baby belly...

Why would you need a space for Baby belly when ur BF????

There really needs to be a POST BABY range... Normal clothes are ok if you can find a top that has easy access. If any one knows where i can find Tops for BF with the hiden part you can discretly pop out booby that would be great... Target have 1 style and i found a few online but as mentioned there all for Baby belly.
