    Question Movement - bit stressed..

    Morning All,

I am a little stressed. I have been getting movement from bubs for a bout a week now but some days its strong and some days hardly anything - i get movments but not heaps each day.

Is it normal to have some days with lots and some with not so many??

I know there was a post about this not long ago but I cant find it!

Thanks for listening to my ramble!
    Love
    Kate

It's completely normal, some days bubs will kill the absolute crap outa me and wont stop moving and other days i barely feel anything. If yu want reassurance poke her or drink cold cold water really fast (it'll get her moving. lol)
Only when you feel no movement at all should you get worried, remember though she is still small and you wont feel all her movements just yet.
I hope she gives you lots of kicks tonight

Big hugs my love... It is scary in the early weeks of feeling movement - I know it did my head in with Immy's pregnancy. When your baby is so tiny she/he has to be in just the right possy for you to feel the movements. Remember her limbs are tiny and not really strong. Also an anterior placenta will act as a cusdhion for the movements and make them more difficult to detect.

After about 28 weeks when your baby is bigger you will feel regular movements and often at regular times. Then if you notice a long period without movement it's a good idea to check it out - drinking cold drinks, prodding your belly and if that doesn't work seeking out a consult from your careprovider or hospital.

What you are describing is normal my love - but I do know how scary it can be.

I use to have a lot of movement after crunching down on Ice chips or drinking frozen raspberry/coke from maccas. I was hooked on them even in winter.

There were days where I wouldn't get any movement sometimes more then a few days throughout my whole two pregnancies, especially with my 2nd DD as my placenta was at the front in the middle of my pregnancy and didn't even feel my baby move until 24 weeks into my 2nd pregnancy :0)

It can be such a worry when you don't feel movement for a while. From memory I think I only felt regular movement from around 24 weeks - before that it could go days without feeling a thing.

If you are not getting any movement at all and it's starting to stress you then you can have an icy cold drink and lie on your left side for an hour. You are sure to get some movement. My OB told me to do this so it's perfectly safe to do.

My DF also used to blow raspberries on my bump (only occasionally) if I was concerned. This also worked. Getting in the shower would usually work to as did having some chocolate.

Satya - I have been having a few little bumps and wiggles now but I will try some of your suggestions as well! Thanks so much for your advice!
