    Question Movements

OK - I am probably being paranoid and bubs has just given me a kick as I type - typical!

I am going on 27 weeks and over the past prob 4 days feel as though I havent had as much baby movement.
Now I have been very busy - so maybe being so active I havent noticed or bubs has been sleeping... but previously I had had a fair bit of movement & kicking (not heaps tho)

When should I worry that I dont think I am getting enough movement? I have been sleeping very well, so maybe bubs has been moving about at night and I havent noticed as much.

Am i being abit of a stresser?

Hi MrsBB - I have been noticing the same thing! My bubs has had a couple of really quiet days recently. Probably if we did sit down and note on a piece of paper every time we feel a movement then we'd see that they are still kicking and jabbing away plenty...
If you are really worried, give it a try. Have a cold drink of juice and sit down and wait and see what happens.

LOL, I really do totally understand. I have felt a couple of little jabs right down low since posting, so I think I'm happy, but I reckon I only felt them because I saw and replied to your post, KWIM?
Hope your little one calms your nerves for you soon by kicking up a storm.

I was feeling exactly the same way this morning. Usually baby goes beserk every morning and bedtime. But movements now do seem reduced in severity and regularity.

Maybe he is just running out of room... maybe I am so used to it I dont notice it so much...

I did just read yesterday that at 31 weeks the baby sleeps 90% of the time.... not sure if it is different at other stages of pg.

After 5, I can assure you that your paranoia is both acceptable and understandable, but that everything is fine. It takes a few times talking to midwives and doctors to really get the full picture, but its all good. Baby is sleeping.

You noted that you have been more active, and this explains it perfectly. Its not that you arent noticing, its that you are rocking the baby to sleep! Its probably why rocking them to sleep after they are born works so well. Hmm.

If you were awake, you would probably notice baby playing soccer with your appendix overnight! DH and I had to start sleeping with my back to him so that Sam didnt keep him up all night kicking him in the ribs.

If you ever get worried, I found out the best way to get a kick was rest your dinner on your stomach, lmao.
