    Mucous plug?

Hi all, I just went to the toilet about an hour ago and just now and when i wiped it was a bit pinky - like the colour of rose wine i guess you could say. As I've never seen one before could this be my mucous plug coming away or should I be worried?

I could really use some response... If I'm being paranoid I'd happily have someone tell me so!

    Hey Brunette
I am not sure what it is but why don't you ring the delivery suite at your hospital where you are booked in to have the baby and ask them about it. If i was seeing pinky colour i think that is what i would do. Goodluck with everything and let me know how you go.

It could be it. Mine started with CM that kinda looked like fertile CM tinged with pink.

Some women start losing it on the day they go into labour while others start to lose it several weeks before the onset of labour.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you start to bleed or get pain give the midwives at the hossy a call and they will reassure you.

Sounds like plug, but as Satya said..it can start coming away at any time but doesnt always mean labour is about to begin!

I lost mine 3 days before DD1 came and DD2 was the day i went into labour!

I called the hossie and told them and they asked me to go in so was there for 2 hours, so so long, all they did was put me on a ctg then told me they thought it was cos we'd had sex, and was nothing to worry about. I didnt realise that sex caused bleeding! The midwife I spoke to when I called didnt ask that on the phone else they wouldnt have told us to go down. Had to sit through a speech about all the positions we shouldnt do... pretty embarassing!
