    is this normal?

Since bub has turned head down a few days ago, i have been getting lower back pain and pelvis pain? its a dull ache that is tehre most of the time and agrivated by sudden novement or when i get up from sitting to long.
is this normal to get this or is it due to a previous back injury from a car accident?

Sounds like baby's head is engaged?
Sorry to hear you're in discomfort.

My bubs turned head down at about 29 weeks (am 33 now) and I get this pelvic pain too, mostly getting up from sitting down & walking can be a bit uncomfortable at times. Does it go away at all? My midwife sort of said it could be pressure from bubs head leaning on it and moving around when we move if that makes sense?
I've also had lots of back aches in the last week or two. I thought it was because my back is sensitive from a car accident also, but I think it's most likely all the baby we are carrying! I've noticed my posture is a little off and when I make sure i'm standing straight and getting up carefully etc it makes a huge difference. Make sure you're bending at the knees and being careful getting up etc that might help?

Sorry I'm not really much help but i think it's all pretty normal! If it gets so bad you can't tolerate it maybe seeing a physiotherapist might help?

Hi girls, my DS was head down from the start of the pregnancy and he engaged pretty early on. I found that as the pregnancy progressed I got quite a bit of pelvis pain when I was laying down on my side. The pain would always be on the side that I was NOT laying on (which always seemed weird to me...). It unfortunately made for quite a bit of tossing and turning at night to alleviate pain.

I think that back and pelvis pain is normal in most pregnancies, but if wither of you are experiencing more pain than you think you should be, then I would definitely recommend having it checked out professionally. Your bub's are only going to get bigger and heavier before you give birth, so best to have it checked earlier rather than later
