Unhappy Is this normal? Feeling a bit shaken

About 3/4 weeks ago I had a near fainting spell where I got hot and dizzy and had to sit down. Went to docs and everything was fine and I felt better about 2 hours later. This morning I felt really breathless, dizzy and like I couldn't quite focus properly. I also had tingling in my hands and arms so I went to my ob. He said after checking me over that it was most likely anxiety or panic attacks.

I can understand how those feelings would come from that but HONESTLY - I am not anxious! I really can't think of anything that I am worried about and life is great. This mornign I was doing my usual stuff - breakfast, getting DD ready to go out etc..

He said to try some calcium tablets just in case I was lackig but TBH I really drink quite a lot of milk (and eat icecream!!). Anyone else had this happen?

I'm a big fainter, always have been.

Sounds like low blood pressure to me, or just a sudden drop. Did the ob check your BP.

Hope you are feeling better hun.

Blood pressure was fine in both cases. I actually feel good now 0- just annoyed and upset that people (ob and nurse) think I might be anxious when I am truly not!! He said if it doesn't improve I can talk to someone but i don't know what about! I really like my ob but I felt so dumb this morning. Anyway better now - just wanted to see if anyone else gets this way!

It sounds like what I get before I'm hit with a migraine. I get almost stroke like symptoms.

Do you have a headache afterwards at all?

The exact same thing happened to a friend last year. Her OB put it down to the baby moving and putting pressure in an odd position which made her feel dizzy/nauseous. Maybe it was something like that?

i had symptoms like this and it turned out to be anxiety. i wasn't anxious either, but our bodies do wierd things when we're pregnant, and i know that for me, my body's response was to get anxious. very strange.. but i wouldn't discount what your doctor's saying if it were me.
