Not smelling good - warning TMI

    So this is really embarassing

DF has just informed me that since being PG things aren't all that plesant south of the border and would I mind if he just gives it a miss......

Apparently it was never a prob prior to bubs.....so feeling a bit self conscious now.

I am pretty sure I don't have an infection and I shower twice a day so it's not personal hygeine

Has anyone else experienced this while pg ?

Can he be more specific on "not that pleasant"?

It could be just because things are more moist and leaky (sorry TMI) down that way at the moment that has made it smell a bit different? But if it smells like something specific there are other things it could be.

ETA: DP has just informed me that things do "smell very different down there" when pregnant vs non-pregnant and he does prefer non-pregnant (but not enough not to offer to check again for me before posting )

dee... I guess your DH feels comfy enough to tell you how he feels which is a good thing. Sounds quite normal cos your hormones do change so it makes perfect sense.

    hi cass,
yep i am thrilled that he is comfortable enough to say that to me as well... still feeling pretty mortified though ...LOL

i'm sure it is just hormonal and I'm sure it doesn't help that we've been having warmer weather.
Is there anything i can do? i know we're not mean't to be using deoderants or anything like that

Makes sense. Things are supposed to be all rosey and sweet down there around O time, so I'd understand if the body just decided not to bother while pregnant LOL.
How about if you were to shower JUST beforehand? Or have a sponge-down?

snacks he told me this 15 mins after I got out of the bath

I'm wondering if like men (pineapple ...lol) it has something to do with what we eat .... because sometimes he reckons it's fine.

Kimbaz... I'm the same I know that something is "different" but I wasn't of the opinion that I was walking around the neighbourhood with a trail of stray cats following me.....

    hi all

i'm aware of something similar - more 'discharge' TMI i think is causing it i'm sure.

Doubledee you're a CRACKUP 'third armpit' that is funny.

my partner hasn't commented on it but truth be told i haven't let him down there 'no, no, i'm fine, lets just do it' LOL and he raised the issue and said it was totally ok... but i'm v self conscious at the best of times.

Hey Mustangsachy... LOL if I don't laugh I'll cry

To be honest I am not a huge fan of him being down there much at the moment either (normally I'm fine) but now I DEFIANTELY don't want him there

I'm going to have to tell my partner that comment - way to funny to not tell him.

i wouldn't worry too much about it.

i'm constantly blown away by how much our bodies change and do very strange things when we're pregnant. perhaps this is the bodies defence mechanism saying 'no sex' LOL?

    lol god i hope not!!
I am so scared of all the mums and dads who reckon you never get any after bubs arrives...lol

yep DF is a charmer with the way he refers to our "bits" my fave is the way he calls it a "snapper" .... try explaining THAT to people when it pops up in conversation LOL

dee- i don't want to freak you out at all, but have you done a urine sample lately to check it's not a UTI? might be worth a try as i believe they are more common in pregnancy.
