Question NT scan - Blood Test

This morning I am meant to have my blood test for my NT scan... only problem is that I have left my wallet in DP's car (who has long since gone to work) and I have no ID, Medicare card or bus money to even get there!
When I was booked in for my appt, the receptionist advised me to get the blood test done in the morning - as early as I could.

I am wondering why? Does the time of day the blood is taken effect the test results? Or did she suggest having the test done in the morning so the results would definitely be ready in time?

Has anyone else been told to have their NT BT done in the early morning?

Nup... I went straight from my Dr's appointment which was in the arvo to get my blood taken. He knew I was going to get it done and didn't say anything??

    Hi Ambah

I can't remember being told to do it first thing in the morning. I think it is to ensure the results are back in time for your ultrasound thats all.

I would ring them and let them know what has happened. Should be ok.

    Thanks girls!

I just rang them and asked and she told me it would have been just to ensure the results were back on time. So if I get it done when DP gets home this arvo it should be fine, and hopefully they should be ready on time for Monday anyway.
