    eating blue cheese if its cooked??

    Hi

    I am a lover of blue cheese and i know you cant eat it during pregnancy, but does it make a difference if its cooked??

    Just wondering!!!

    Yes it does. You can't eat Blue cheese because of the listeria factor. Listeria thrives in the cold and contrary to many peoples belief will also thrive in pasteurised cheeses.

    Cooking the cheese and serving it piping hot will kill the Listeria bacteria and this is safe.

    I eat fetta cooked all the time!! I put it in omelettes and quiches and my dr assured me that this is okay!
