Hi everyone, I've been going insane - unable to find any decent larger size maternity jeans.
The few I've tried on are either too small (don't be calling size 16-18 large cos it ain't!LOL) or not enough fabric in the bum area. Hipster styles are out too for the same reason.
Does anyone know and love a particular larger size mat jean brand?? And details on how I might source them???
Marydean, check out maternitywear (they are an au site) they sell jeans up to a size 4XL (size 26). and they are great prices too. I would have gotten a pair only they only had the once that sit under your tummy and I prefer the ones that sit over it. They also have some great pants too if you needed some for work.
Thanks, Sherie, I'm all sorted for work pants (thanks to my fave shop) but the jeans are a bit trickier. I will check that site out, but not too keen on the underbelly styles either!
Hi there,
I am normally a size 20 'ish' in jeans! lol
I found a fantastic, comfy pair of cord jeans. Ripe maternity wear.
they are a size 18, and really roomy, but they also fiut my legs really well.
They have an aussie wesite as well (ripedotcomdotau).
oh and by the way.... I wear mine over my belly
Try Autograph (was 1626), sometimes their jeans have a lot of stretch in them and seem to be large around the belly. I used a size 20 pair when I was pregnant, they were very comfy and looked great. I found I had a lot of trouble with normal maternity jeans as I have large thighs.
I swear if I had the money I would open up a shop that only sold larger ladies maternity wear. There is obviously a market out there so why do some selected shops insist on only stocking a couple of items in the larger sizes and also charging an arm and a leg for them. When I win lotto its a goer for sure.
I have found both katies1626 and Rockmans Beme my maternity havens.
Some of them have a larger cut then the normal size 18.
I also bought some awesome jeans off eBay. I know some don't like the idea of second hand clothing, but the jeans I bought were still brand new with tags.
I agree little sprocket. I would love to open a larger sizes maternity store.
