Angry OMG Back pain from H*#*! Please help

    Hi everyone!

I am only 14 weeks and I am having the worst back pain ever! I woke up to DH giving me a back massage in the middle of the night, so it must of been bad.

I am even in bed with pillows propped around me, to do Uni work.

I am thinking now is the time to get a pregnancy pillow? Any suggestions?

Also, don't you think it is too early to have bad back pain like this? It lasts most of the day, except yesterday I did not have any pain at all! I have an apt with my OB next Monday but sure he will just say "suck it up, princess and welcome to pregnancy!"

Any opinions on what worked for you with back pain would be awesome.

    Thanks : )

I'd go see a chiro, you might of just slipped something in your back, or pulled a muscle. Mersyndol day strength tablets are safe to take and they work really well for muscular pain.

Pain like you are experiencing is not a normal part of pregnancy. That's not to say it won't remain for some time, as many of us know pregnancy is not always a joyous painfree event. However a chiropractor or a physiotherapist should be able to offer some relief and there are various remedies (like tens) which are safe in pregnancy and could help reduce your pain.

Thanks guys. Will consider it. I am not the biggest fan of Chiropractors.... Thinking of a massage as it has been awhile and my breasts have gone from DD to F and growing.. Maybe that is the reason. I am now in no pain after laying back on pillows that last few hours. After school holidays... massage is a must!

its a shame you don't live here, I go to the BEST chiropractor - she doesn't click any bones or rip them back into place, its all just nice and gentle manipulation with her stuff and it really works.

16 weeks pregnant and no SPD - I put that down to her treatments alone

    Arimeh,

I am truly jealous. If I got a referral like that I would go to one. Will have to sort something out.. Pain again. I knew this was going to happen, it started at 7 weeks. : ( Will try the pain pills though, when I get down to the chemist.
