Morphology Scan at 18wks and 4 days - is that too early??

Hi there

Just wondering when everyone has had their morphology scans done - I'm currently booked in at 18wks and 4 days and ideally (fingers crossed) I'd like to find out the sex.

so wondering what is the optimal time for this scan?? and does it make any difference as to whether the sex can be seen or not??

The latest I can have this scan - prior to my next MW appointment would be 19wks2days but this is pushing it.... so wondering what your opinions are??

I was told the closer to 20 weeks the better, so I'm booked in at 19.4 wks.. can't wait

Anything between 18 to 20 weeks should be OK (unless you get a shy bubs who crosses their legs LOL)

Yep anything from 18 -20 is fine - when I booked mine for exactly that, 18w4d Iasked if it was ok and not too early to see everything and she said nope -thats why they suggest 18-20 and not 19-20 or just 20 weeks!!! I hae pics in my gallery and we found out the sex and got brilliant 3D shots. Bubs can cross their legs and not cooperate at 20 weeks just like they can at 18!! Good luck with it!

Thanks for the feedback - I totally understand the leg crossing situation but I'll take me chances - lol - either way if we're meant to find out, we're meant to find out - just got everything crossed that all is fine and healthy with bubba - that is by far the most important thing to me but it would be the icing on the cake to find out the sex
