    Playing Music in Utero

    Hi All
Any tips for what music is said to be benficial to play to bubs in utero? I have a Mozart CD I use which is great but any others people specifically recommend? of course bubs hears all our stuff normally but I have set aside some special relaxation time and I'd like to play something that will soothe him/her...

DD loved it when I played Dead Can Dance...she now has extensive and eclectic tastes in music so I think it might have had an impression in those early days...!

Honestly, I think anything that is melodic (instead of discordant) and made with 'real' instruments (as opposed to electronically generated sounds) must have a good effect. Enjoy!

I have heard that Mozart is one of the best things to play so it sounds like you are doing well already!

My taste in music is extremely varied, I used to throw the headphones on my abdomen when pregnant with DS and he used to "dance" to the likes of The Cult, AC/DC and Abba. He gave me a rather hefty kick one day when I had a Dolly Parton song playing...so stopped playing her. He's 6 now and seems to love close to everything on my iPod which is great....long car trips are a joy because he sits in the back "singing" away as best he can.
