Please read - I'm freaking out * UPDATED

So I went to the loo and found some brown mucus on my undies Am really scared something is wrong. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow. I'm not having any cramps or anything like that.

I never had this with Moo, only implantation before AF was due. So have no idea and am very worried.

Should I go get checked out or is this relatively normal?

I had some old blood spotting around the time I should have had AF with both of mine, it is a bit scary. Fingers crossed and if you are really worried then for peace of mind I would get checked out. xoxo

I think the general rule is if it's light (ie not heavy) and brown, then it's old blood, nothing to worry about. You tend to be a bit more mucousy at the start anyway (ew, it's just one of those icky things, isn't it?!!). I had bleeding with T, and when I talked to the midwife, she said as long as it just stayed very light, it would be fine. If it's soaking through pads or getting very bright red, then it can be a bit more of a concern - but also not necessarily a miscarriage, just something to keep an eye on. The beginning bit is so nervewracking isn't it? Hope it turns out to be nothing.

Thank you so much for your speedy responses. I'm alone with Moo and I just panicked.

I haven't had anymore so FX it's nothing but I'll just have to wait. I always thought old blood was okay too, but I seriously just freaked out when I saw it!

CM, I had brown blood at 6 weeks with DS1. It was a blood clot in the uterus lining breaking away - very common apparently and harmless for the baby. I had light, brown bleeding for a few days then all was good. The day it started I went for a scan because I was so scared and saw the hb for the first time. DS1 is now 5 1/2 btw. I know it's worrying, and it would be a good idea to see your medico on Monday for peace of mind, but when it happened to me they said that brown blood is usually not a problem.

    Oh CM
Please don't worry. Brown blood really isn't much to worry about, especially in such a small amount. When it is bright red, clotting, with pains, then it is time to worry.

Even with that said, with my DD I had bright red bleeding at 16 weeks (she is now a happy, healthy 3 year old)
And I also had bright red bleeding with DS at 6, 7, 11, and 15 weeks (and he is now a happy healthy 1 year old)

lots of sticky vibes coming your way!

Well just went to the loo and when I wiped there was streaks of pink in the mucus. I had nothing since the brown mucus til then, just when I was starting to relax! I feel a bit achey but don't know if my fears are getting the best of me IYKWIM? Once again I'm alone, I'm so worried!

I hope everything is ok babe. I had some brown/pink spotting at 9 weeks - just one morning a couple of times I went to the toilet. I was so scared but all was well.

    Hope you're ok.

    Noo CM!
Is your DH home yet? Everything is going to be okay. A little bit of blood DOES NOT mean miscarriage.
Please have a nice hot shower or bath, and try to relax. Book in to see your doc on Monday, if you're still unsure.
    Love love love x x x
