Is it possible to have thrush without discharge?

    Hi,
I am 28 weeks pregnant and for most of the pregnancy my lady bits have been tender, sometimes swollen and sometimes itchy. I just thought it must have something to do with pregnancy (I didnt have this in my first preg) but it doesnt seem to settle, the swelling goes and the tenderness comes and goes and its only itchy every now and then but its annoying.
There is no unusual discharge so I didnt think it was thrush but is it possible that it could be thrush without the discharge. I have never had it before so what do I do??

It is possible to have thrush without any discharge. First time I had it I seen the doctor because it was painful on penetration, she took a swab just to check everything and came back thrush... no other symptoms.
If it is worrying you, see your GP/MW/OB and just have them double check for you.
Hope it settles down for you

Wow well there you go, I will see the Dr asap, will be good to have some relief, I just honestly thought it was to do with pregnancy and I would have to put up with it until bubs was born.
    Thanks Girls

Yep, I'd been tender and swollen and was getting little cuts as well. When the swab came back positive for thrush I was shocked as I'd had no other symptoms. I stopped using panty liners and have been really careful about what goes against my skin there too (ie washing detergents, soaps etc) and haven't had any symptoms since. GL
