Hi Ella
I did aqua mums at Armadale recreation gym i think they also provide preggi bellies classes.
I really enjoyed the aqua mums and only had to stop as I kept getting ear infections
Good luck.
Belinda.
Hi ella - when i was in melb i used to go to fit to deliver which is in brighton, albert park and i think one other location. i loved it and i even do the dvd of it now that i have left melb :-(
they have a website if you want to check out the timetable and they are all run by physios so i was able to claim some of it back on health insurance. some classes better than others IMO, and you can do a mix of machines and mat classes (it is pilates)
thanks belinda and pregpan!
i do the preggi bellies classes at recreation at the moment. i'm not too keen to slip into bathers though, so think i'll give the Aqua Mums a miss..
Fit to Deliver has been recommended to me by someone else as well so i think i might start going once i start maternity leave... would prefer somewhere closer to home (will give me less excuses to miss classes "oh, i've left it too late, i'll never get there in this traffic"!!), but sounds like Fit to Deliver might be worth making the trek for!! will be good if i can get some money back from HBA as well...
yep it is HBA that I claim it back thru. i would recommend the sat morning class in brighton - elise who teaches it is v good. i also recommended it to my SIL who loves it! they do book up so you need to book ahead and see if you can get into a class (that also means no excuses for not going ha ha!!).
I really like Mummilates which is at CorPilates on High Street near the corner of Chapel Street. There is also a Mummies & Tummies class at Malvern Sport & Physiotherapy in Armadale on High street. They are run by physios so you can claim it back with your private health insurance.
i enquired with CorPilates yesterday and they said that i couldn't claim it back!! yes, have been meaning to try out Mummies & Tummies though, but have been too slack - i really must pull my finger out!
