hey folks my partner and I are worried that we may be pregnant. A few weeks ago 3-4 weeks, my gf was meant to hve her period, she opted to skip the period and went on her normal pill. A week later she started bleeding on and off for a few days, from a dark brown to red colour. Secondly, a month ago we had intercourse and we always use the pill and condoms, however at times we start with no condoms and use one before finishing, this time as soon as we were done after 10minutes we decided to go again, and starting with no condom on straight after I had finished.
Within the last few weeks she has been taking heavy medication to make her to to the toilet as he has bowel problems and been taking 4-6 medications a day for about 2 weeks. On Monday she had a colonoscopy and during Saturday & Sunday she was preparing for it but was meant to have her period this past Saturday which she skipped. Now yesterday she was bleeding dark brown moderatly and that has worried her. Also her nipples in the last 2 weeks hve gone from pink to purple and brown back to pink and her area around the nipple has gone darker and back to lighter. Her breasts feel fuller but they hve done so for a while.
How worried should we be about pregnancy. We always use a condom during climax and he always takes her pill within 3 hours. Thanks guys
Well, to be honest you can still get pregnant before your full ejaculation. There is always a small amount of fluid that is expelled before climax which is why its a good idea to use protection before you start.
Skipping a period by just taking the normal pills does work but it may also stuff your cycle around so its not recommended you do it very often. I would say that because she has played around with her pill her hormones are a bit out of wack and this could be the cause of the bleed and the nipples.
Generally implantation bleed is not full on like a period bleed. Keep an eye on it over the next week and if your really worried you can ease your worries by doing a home pregnancy test.
But if your not wanting to fall pregnant may I recommend that you use your personal protection as soon as you start as women have been known to fall pregnant even on the pill especially if they have been vomiting, the runs or smoke etc.
so today my gf noticed she was still bleeding. After some light brown blood last nite she noticed bright pinkish red blood today. As far as I'm aware pink blood, light bleeding usually means pregnancy? What's really troubling her is the fact the it is not her period and she is having some light bleeding as well as her nipple changes.
I would suggest your gf take a pregnancy test to find out for sure. If she skipped the sugar pills to miss her period she may just be having a strange bleed because of it. This happened to me once when I was on the pill. One month I skipped the sugar pills and still got some slight bleeding, but it was off colour to a normal period (i.e brownish and pinkish).
Definitely take a HPT if you want to know for sure. Best of luck!
ok so a bit of an update. since my first post on 20th november, she has continuted to bleed on/off light bleeds ranging from red-dark brownish and even pink at one point. very light bleeds and sometimes kinda heavy for a day. this has lasted until today when i saw her. so she has had full feeling breasts for a month now and of today they feel sore. she was complaining of feeling ill, sneezing and coughing earlier today. She is going to the dr to find out what is going on, were both worried cause , we used condoms and the pill and would be very upset if she was pregnant.
