10 months later I can feel a small bulge coming out of my vaginal when I sit on the loo. I have also tried to used tamponds but I can't seem to get them in the correct position. I don't have incontinence issues.
I think I may have a mild prolaspe and I have been increasing my pelvic floor exercises to try and improve the situation.
I would love to have another baby over the next year. Has anyone had a pregnancy with a prolaspe, if so do you have any advice.
My health nurse seems to think I may have to have a c-section. Is this true?
Pofflechops to your nurse!! Bekz, ask your GP if you're really worried. I had a mild prolapse that resolved by itself after a while, but popped out again on the few occasions I was constipated. I asked my GP about it, as I too was worried about the effect it would have during PG, her answer was none at all! It's not usually considered an impediment to further vaginal births either, unless the prolapse is really severe (and you would know about it if it was). She said it's not normally something that's even treated until it becomes an issue in menopause (even for women who've never been pg) and if it's moderately bad they wait until you've had all the children you're going to have before they do anything about it (surgically that is). In the meantime you can ask to see a physio specialising in women or an incontinence nurse to improve your pelvic floor generally as that will help prevent any further deterioration.
