    puking on public transport...

    Hi guys,,,

Just wondering if anyone can give me advice, I have found i have some of my worst nausea on the train to and from work. Last night I barely made it off the train and puked in the bushes at the station. How have others coped with the nausea in a public place with no bathroom!!

I got told by a girl I work with that she had really bad nausea & a couple of ginger snap biscuits would kill it.
I know ginger is supposed to be good for nausea. I can't stand ginger though so it just made me worse.
Might be worth a try though.
Also peppermint tea. Maybe you can have a cup before you get on the train or have a thermal mug of it with you for your trip.
Hope it doesn't last too long.

That must be really hard. I got a migraine on the train once and had to get off at an earlier station just so I could puke

Maybe carry some plastic bags in your handbag, just in case you can't make it off the train in time.

I carried 'vomit bags' on the train when I was pregnant. Never had to use them thankfully but felt better knowing they were there.

I never puked on the train (I got my MS at night while dinner was cooking). I did faint on the train as it pulled into the station. Thankfully at that time I was starting to look pregnant (I was in my second trimester) so someone actually caught me and made sure I didn't fall hard. Then they walked me to a seat and physically sat me down and stayed with me until I was ok.

So was my sister. Why do you think I carried at least 2 bags? I had to pull the vomit bag out once. Got ready to vomit and held the second one up for anyone so inclined. Got some laughs and a lovely young man (about 16 y.o.) brought over some plain biscuits and said they worked for his mum. Ate them slowly and they did work.

Maybe carry some plain biscuits like Arrowroot or Marie biscuits as well.

I found chewing peppermint gum helped ease the nausea a lot. I also carried vomit bags with me in my purse as well (grabbed a bunch from a flight we were on) just in case the gum didn't help. I actually went on anti-nausea meds as I was so nauseous i couldn't' get out of bed.
