Question Question for those who had twins or more?

I'm wondering if there was an obvious sign that you were having more than one baby?

I got my positive HPT at 7DPO. Morning sickness started at 3.5weeks, REALLY irritable and emotional. And im HUGE!! i showed early with DD but my goodness im massive!

There aren't twins in the family (or that i know of on my side) but the metformin i took for my pcos can cause multiples..

When I was pregnant with twins I had a BFP at 10 DPO - twas very dark. But besides that I was not bigger / bloated or had any morning sickness - that kicked in at about 7 weeks.

Perhaps it might be worth getting checked out as it could be something else that's perhaps making you sick / bloated as I can't imagine that you'd be getting these symptoms so early.

I started vomiting 5 days before AF was due and got a postive test.
I never showed tho until I was over 20 weeks.

The only difference between my twin pregnancy and my singleton ones was that I fainted heaps when pregnant with twins. Morning sickness was no worse, neither was the exhaustion of early pregnancy. I showed early with all my pregnancies, and wasn't that bit until the 2nd half of my twin pregnancy. In fact I had seen heaps of midwives, who all palpated my belly, and all missed the twins until the 21 week scan because there was no outward sign that it was a buy-one-get-one-free pregnancy.

I got BFP's the same day with DD as with the twins (9 DPO - based on transfer dates), my morning sickness with DD and the twins started at the same time - about 7 weeks, but with the twins it lasted a week where as with DD I had it for 5 weeks.

We knew at 7 weeks we were expecting twins, but my belly didn't show until I was 12 weeks and then it 'exploded'.

So far the symptoms I had with the twins are the same as this singleton pregnancy, except my boobs got much bigger much faster with the twins.

The only early difference I noticed with my twin pg was that when I did the pregnancy test, the second line started coming up straight away - as in barely had time to put it down on the bench . Morning sickness started around the same time but actually finished sooner than it did with DS (14 weeks for the girls, almost the whole way through with DS)

Same - DH really wanted 3 but I told him I couldn't cope with a 3rd pg. Although it ended up that I had a great pregnancy and a fab birth so it was a nice way to complete my family

    That sounds wonderful

Of course if it turns out to be a singleton ill be over the moon but it may be my last pregnancy and if the baby is a boy i won't be too upset i'll have my pidgeon pair
