There was another thread somewhere where someone suggested getting some bread mix and having a bun baking when he came home. Then waiting for him to notice the smell and telling him casually that you had a "bun in the oven".
I think I am pregnant (will check later this morning with another test) and if I am I want to tell DH this arvo when he gets home from golf trip. Last time I told him it was a really boring "oh, So I think I'm pregnant" statement. The reason we were so worried was because I had m/c a few weeks before. So anyway, fingers crossed this time is good I want to tell him in a happy way!! Any cool or dif ideas?
P.S. I prob won't be doing the serving of "baby" foods for dinner .ie veal, baby potatoes etc.!!!

Jordie how exciting
LOL at the oven hehe very cute idea..
Maybe you could put the tests under his pillow or something? Sorry can't really think of anything great at the moment!!
I like the bun in the oven idea!
Whats the first thing he does when he gets home?
If he has a shower, maybe you could tape the POAS to the wall.
Or above the loo if he goes there first.
Congrats & goodluck!!
We had friends send us a card that had a picture of them as a couple on the front (you could just use a photo taken of yourself).
Inside the card they wrote...
Cost of professional portrait........ $50
Cost of postage stamp......... 50 cents
Realising that there are actually THREE people in this photo...... PRICELESS![]()
What about giving him the "stork letter"
Hello, I don't have any ideas, just wanted to pop in and say (unofficially of course) how thrilled I am for you!...pending the official "announcement"!

Well I did another test and it has a very faint line so I think this could beit. Of course I wouldn't tell anyone except for DH (and Belly belly!). I am excited though - hope it all works out!!! Keep coming with ideas. He'll be home in about 3 hours!
Put the test on the door which he comes through when he gets home - stick it with a note saying "Mumma and Baby2Be inside"! Simple but effective![]()
Just a thought. Any thing big that you can think of that needs to be moved or something??
Something that you could ask him to do then say
'I would, but I can't in my condition...'
Then just hope it doesn't go straight over his head.
How about DD telling him or giving him a card that says 'I'm going to be a big sister'
I gave my DH a little gift box and inside I put a baby's dummy, a pair of booties and the positive HPT....but you will need all those things on hand if you want to do it this arvo, LOL.
I like the "bun in the oven" idea, and I think the photo idea was awesome!
You could always greet him at the door with a pillow up your shirt!!![]()
Hi Jordie,
I dont have any great ideas for you, but would love to know which idea you chose, and your DH's reaction to your cute way of letting him know! So happy for you both, that you are having a baby! Congratulations!
