    Bee stings in pregnancy??

Hey girls just a quick note to ask about bee stings! I just got stung out by the pool, I put ice on and all that jazz... but Im worried about if it's safe in pregnancy.
Iv googled and it doesn't come up with much of anything! A few stories scared me so I stopped reading. Will probably call the poisons hotline thingy but I just thought I'd put it out here too incase anyone else has had one during pregnancy.
Way to freak me out! Hope poor lil bubs doesn't notice!
    Thanks!

    Hi Miskilla
Providing that you are not allergic to bee stings then everything will be fine. A bee sting will not harm your baby

I was stung by a bee @ 10 weeks gestation with our 2nd born. Usually a bee sting does not bother me, but during pregnancy I seem to be allergic My foot was up like a balloon, and then some cream that a GP recommended I ended up being allergic to as well.

Was not a fun couple of days. I have been stung again since and once again not an issue in the world. It was definitely a bee that stung me during pregnancy as well.

Oh - this happened to me a few weeks ago and I had a panic and tried to google it. I worried all night but bub seems to be fine. When I thought about it logically I realised that most people who have problems with bee stings have difficulty breathing. Since the baby isn't breathing yet and is getting its oxygen via the placenta I decided it would be fine.
