    Low Vitamin D levels

Has anyone else had low vitamin D levels in their pregnancy?
Did you take an extra supplement for this?

Cod liver oil has vitamin D3 in it. I have a Vit D deficiency. I started walking everyday in the sun for 15 minutes and taking cod liver oil. The other thing is I have come Vit D3 drops from my chinese herbalist.

I'm not pregnant but have just been diagnosed with low VitD (VERY low) and have been told by my Dr to take Ostelin tablets. Keep in mind that too much Vit D can be just as bad as too little so perhaps discuss it with your caregiver before taking any supplements. Supplements should also only be used for a short period of time and then levels tested again...

Thanks for all your suggestions. I am hoping now that is warmer I will be able to get out in the sun more. An extra reson to exercise as well. I will also try some of the foods and ask my carers about which supplement I should take.
