I think as long as it has been stored correctly and you reheat it at a very high temp it is considered safe![]()
Quick question, I made a huge roast chook for dinner tonight, heaps of chicken left over, enough to make sandwiches for the kiddies lunch and more! Usually I have the rule of 12 hours, if the food is more than 12 hours old I won't eat it (when pregnant) unless its been frozen. But.... I am wanting to use some of the chicken in a stir fry for dinner tomorrow night... Is it a safe timeframe for a pregnant woman? Silly question?

Thanks mummies, that's what I was hoping to hearwas shredded & in the fridge within 30mins of coming out of the oven and will stay there til dinner tomorrow... Mmm! Looking forward to it now
lol, food is always on my mind when pregnant
To be honest, if I was the one cooking, handling and storing it I'd be quite happy to keep it in the fridge for a couple of days and use it. I know where its been, and that its been stored appropriately so I wouldn't be to worried at all
I will eat homemade leftovers for a few days even when pregnant.
If ever in doubt check out an app called "Still Tasty" it's on iOS not sure about android. But it's fantastic. I use it for everything. It has use by times for everything homemade, and commercially prepared. Wouldn't live without it.
When it starts moving again, definitely time to throw it out.
