    Unhappy Should I be worried?

    Hi ladies,

Late last night I went to the loo and saw a teeny tiny pin head size red blood on my undies! I dunno what to think but I am feeling uneasy now about it. It was so small and only one speck but I dunno should I see my dr asap? I am 13 weeks coming on 14. Has this happened to any of you ladies? I am having normal odd twinge and ache but feels like stretching. Only a smaller speck of teeny tiny blood today as well but smaller then nothing.

    Thanks in advance.x

One of the crap things about pregnancy is that it could be nothing or it could be something. Could the blood be from wiping too hard or scratching yourself slightly? Was the blood coming from your cervix or just from your vagina generally?

If it's doing your head in the only way to know for sure is to get it checked out by a dr.

    Thanks Fab,

It's hard to tell, like when I press a square of toilet paper on the entrance of the vagina. Sorry TMI...but it is so tiny so it sux cos like you said you just don't know!! But 2 weeks ago had u/s bub was fine and gud heartbeat. I have been moving house and stressed so maybe that could be a reason....

    Have you felt any pain?

Maybe keep an eye on it and if there is more blood later then go to the doctor.

It is so hard in that period before you feel the baby move. I had an early miscarriage and in my pregnancies after that I was constantly convinced something was wrong. Lucky for me I felt movement at 17 weeks and 15 weeks respectively so you might be the same. In which case not long to wait!

In the absence of pain or cramping, a tiny amount of blood like that is more likely to come from a bleed inside the vagina, which is common because all the blood vessels there are swollen due to your pregnancy. However for your own peace of mind your doctor could check your cervix to make sure it is nicely closed, or even if you felt you needed it they could possibly request an ultrasound.

Hi curlygirly, I hope everything is ok and youv'e had no more bleeding. I am so paranoid of another missed m/c i would go and get it checked out, but im a super paranoid freak I would just talk to your GP and see what they think. GL xoxox
