    Sneaky leaky nipples?

On one of my many trips to the toilet last night, I noticed that there was a wettish patch on the white singlet top I was wearing. It was about where my nipple was, and had stained the singlet top slightly yellow. The wet patch has dried to be a little bit hard. I'm assuming that my nipple was leaking colostrum while I was asleep? Am I correct? It's just really odd because I've never noticed any leaking before, or stains in my bras or anything.

Sounds like leakage to me. Maybe start wearing a sports bra to bed to give you extra support and when you need to put in breast pads they hold them into place too and they are more comfy than normal bras to sleep in.

WOW, can that really happen at 23 weeks! I though that you only leaked once you had given birth? Mind you I could be 100% wrong! hehe

Yep, that'll be colostrum - it shocked me too when mine started to leak at 19 weeks! I had to start wearing nursing pads, especially on warm days or my bras got stained!

I thought it must be colostrum leaking... I mean, why else would I have a yellowish stain there? I was aware that it could start happening during pregnancy, I just had no idea it could happen this early!
Oh well, it's good to know that everything is working the way it's supposed to!

He he, I didn't realise it could happen that early either!

Hehehe, there was a post recently that I replied to... yep I had colostrum when i squeezed at about *I think* 14-16 weeks... i was leaking by about 20 When you leak that early cloth breastpads are a wise investment! You won't NEED them yet, but its handy for those OOPS moments (mostly in public )

Gosh, talk about opening the flood gates! This afternoon both my nipples have been taking it in turns to leak! It was only a couple days ago it happened for the first time! I really think I am going to have to invest in some nursing pads after all!
