(Sorry for the TMI!)Anyone else with gastro problems in late pg?
I have been having problems with going tot he loo for the last few weeks (maybe 3ish wks). Not constipation, but gastro. I know it is a common pg symptom, but for so long?? I get it every three days or so and for one day it's really bad, one day it's not too bad, but still not the most pleasant of experiences, for 2-3day I have nothing and then there's one day of horrible gurgling tummy, wind and discomfort before it starts again. When I have the full day of running to the loo, I am fairly drained and tired. I had gastro in the few days leading up to labour with DS, but it's too early for labour with this bub (you hear that baby....TOO, too early!), I don't feel like I'm having any prelabour and my GP has said baby is still up high. I have no other strange symptoms. Baby is head down and usually on my left side and isn't moving much in terms of rolling or moving sides. He kicks, pushes and punches a fair bit, but no really big moves.
So is this in the range of normal?? Or is it something I should be mentioning to the doc?
I have had diarhoea (sp?) on and off for like 3-4 weeks now! I was wondering if it is normal cause I'm not eating bad stuff or anything and so have no idea why I have the runs all the time!! It's annoying... and mostly at night when I have gone to bed, I get a sore tummy, have to get up and there it is.
I have heard that gastro in later pg can be a sign of impending labour. Though I'm not sure it is for me a the mo anyway! It was with DS, but I was about 38-9wks pg then! I'm only 34 1/2wks now, so I'm hoping like mad that it's not a labour sign....though I didn't give birth to DS til 41wks, so in a week and a half I will be 36wks pg....lol! No baby needs to cook for at least 3 more weeks!
I'm not eating any differently to normal and I'm not allergic or sensitive to anything normally (though I know that can change when pg). I haven't noticed any correlation to what I eat, though haven't really been trying to take notice! Maybe I should!!
I'm going to the doc this week so I might mention it to him. Just to make sure it's ok. Maybe I should start taking a multivitamin or something JIC...?? Just to make sure I'm not lacking in anything...I am taking iron (another reason why gastro is strange to me because I usually get fairly constipated with iron tabs!) with folate so that should be ok, I hope!
I have had it a good week now Kel. But everyday, im lucky if i get a day off. Like you said the noise and pains are hossible and i go to the toilet about three times and nothing than wham!
Again i have done/eaten nothing new... I was going to mention it to the OB today so ill let you know!
