    spotting/bleeding at 5wks

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced bleeding in early pregnancy and still have a successful pg? I am 5 weeks & 3 days along and tonight discovered slight bright red blood. There wasn't much and now it is just a bit pink/brown spotting. I also have a full feeling down there and I don't recall having this when pg with DD. I have experienced a m/c before but it was along time ago and around 3 weeks. TIA!

I had allot of bleeding with my 3 successful pregnancies and with my mc the bleeding didn't stop or go pink or brown it just carried on and was quite painful so to me it just sounds like baby is getting comfy in there x

With 3 of my babies I've had 'implantation' bleeding where you get a small amount that starts red then goes brown and stops. Can be anywhere between 2-10 weeks (mine were around 6-8 weeks). Best thing to do if you are worried is talk to your doctor or midwife about it.

I had spotting and cramping with this pregnancy at just under 6 weeks, the spotting was on and off for 2 weeks but bub was fine luckily. It is very scary, good luck with your scan!

Thanks everyone, hearing about your experiences has made me feel so much better! Before posting on here I was sure it was going to be a loss - thinking any bleeding at the start would mean it was all over. I defiantly feel more confident now - just have to keep thinking positive I guess!
