Stomach Pains

My wife is currently pregnant at 24 weeks with twins. she started to have stomach pains. Her stomach started getting hard and soft again. Then hard again for about an hour. Any ideas?

well I'm no expert but she could be having braxton hicks. But I was told if you get pains with them then contact the hospital.

Maybe you should call your hospital & talk to a midwife in the maternity ward.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks contractions to me - perfectly normal and nothing to worry about unless she starts to experience definite pain with them. As pregnancy progresses the intensity usually increases - but believe me, you know when contractions start as opposed to intense braxton hicks!

However if she feels they are in her bowel or something like that - she should see a doc I think, but if just general tightness etc, that's what I think!
