    Bleeding gums

Now i've heard of bleeding gums being normal in pregnancy but this surely cannot be normal..

I was having lunch today, was being naughty and had Oporto and i just bit into a chip and was talking to my mum and DP when they both asked if i was ok, i said yes... why and they said i was bleeding quite bad from the mouth.. i wiped my mouth and a heap a blood was there!

It just kept coming and coming.. until i finished eating..

DP asked if my teeth were wobbley as thats what it looked like that my teeth were falling out.

The only other bleeding i had was right at the start of pregnancy whenever i brushed my teeth but since then nothing.

    Weird..

It is pretty normal. I think it's coz of the extra amount of blood your body is pumping around, but can't really remember.
I always get it while cleaning my teeth & hate it!

How long since you've had a proper clean?

I have had a little bit of gum bleeding. I saw my dental hygienist at 12 weeks, and she advised to be extra vigilant with brushing and flossing, and to rinse with warm salty water twice a day until it had gone, then once a day after that. I'm also seeing her a little bit more often than usual while pg.
