The 3d/4d scans are amazing. I have had them for my 20 week scan with both boys and it is really cool having pictures that look like a little person and not an alien type creature.
Just remember that whether they get great pictures or not depends on what your bub does on the day. DS1 had his hand across his face in every one (no amount of jumping or poking would get him to budge) so we only got ones of half his face. They will do the best they can for you, but sometimes bub just doesn't like photos.
Yep, I've had a few and love them!
tenibear - we were already going to find out DD3's gender, but at the 20 week scan, as soon as the sonographer put the thingy on my belly, all you could see was her bits!!! lol
We didn't see her bits at all! The sonographer focused on her face and it was amazing!! You can see them swallow and blink and try to eat their hands!!
I'd highly suggest it!
We had one done at 28 weeks. It was great. I then stuck pictures up at work for myself and co-workers to gaze at throughout the day. I quite often found myself just soaking in my baby's picture.
Before we started the scan we filled out a small questionnaire about if we knew the gender, and if not, did we want to know. As the answer to both of these for us was no, they avoided that area. DH however did ask for it to be filmed still so we could have it for later on. We just closed our eyes and they told us what times in the DVD to avoid. Great service.
We had 3d/4d scans of DD at all 5 scans we had done. The best one was at 30 weeks when she had started to look all chubby and 'real' the 20 weeks she still looks a bit odd lol but still gorgeous I highly recommend it and I love that on her wall we nor have scan photos of 12 weeks, 20 weeks, 30 weeks and birth
