    VAX while pregnant?

After DD2, I was told my rubella immunity was a bit low & before ttc it would be good to have a top up. Well #3 has snuck in and I'm wondering if its ok to have the vax while preg. I think it would be the MMR booster maybe? I'm not sure if I'm comfortable having the vax but wanted some opinions.

I don't think they will allow you to have the vax or boosters whilst pregnant, that is why they would have suggested it prior to ttc your next child. Perhaps call Nurse on Call and they may be able to advise why it is not advisable b/c I can't remember the reason

    VAX while pregnant?

I thought that was the case. I think the vax can cause many negative affects on the unborn child.

    VAX while pregnant?

I am sure I was told they won't do it while pregnant and that you shouldn't get pregnant within 3 months of the vax.
I am soooo excited for you!!

    Congrats MissM
Vax are often a live virus & as such cannot be administered while pregnant & preferably you don't TTC within 3 months of getting the needle. Hopefully you midwife or GP can advise you of things / situations to avoid while pregnant? Good luck!

    VAX while pregnant?

MissM all is correct about not being able to get vax while PG and you're supposed to wait 3 months after to TTC. My immunity was low also and after 2 x MC I decided to take a break to let my body recover, have the VAX booster then wait 3 months and try again. When I was tested at the start of this PG my immunity was still at the same level. My GP said some people just don't get a higher immunity level from them. If I hadn't have been happy to give my body a rest to recover I think I would have been more annoyed that my immunity level didn't change.

    Have a great PG..

    VAX while pregnant?

I had my mmr booster yesterday, bub is 9 weeks old. I just waited and had if done with his vacs. It was meant to be done in hospital but was missed by accident. My gp told me not to get pregnant within a month of having it done. Hope this helps x
